About
“My hope is for the work I do to speak for itself.” —Annina
Growing up in Belgium, designer Annina Fremgen remembers the way the soft afternoon light would pour in through her childhood home’s windows. It was a warm glow, one that created a magical effect.
“We have a word for that now — golden hour.” —Annina
Years later, that’s the same feeling Annina works to create in her timeless designs.
Starting her career at Caracole Home where she spent almost five years designing multiple award-winning collections, Annina now runs her own studio — Studio Fremgen — and works directly with clients to create bespoke furniture that achieves the perfect balance between their concept and her eye.
Inspired by the world around her, Annina takes in information as she moves through life. A single leaf, the curve of a building, found antiques — everything gets cataloged into her mind, then translated into works for interior spaces.
“I like to look at things. It’s hard to say when it starts and stops in terms of when I’m designing. It’s all a catalog that I’m taking in and pulling from. It’s very organic; it just kind of happens.” —Annina
Using her breadth of design skills, plus her knack for finding inspiration in all aspects of life, Annina will work with clients to create pieces that are simple yet elevate the spaces in which they exist.
“The search for beauty never ends — what would the world be without it?” —Annina
When she’s not sketching out ideas in her notebook or taking photos on her camera, Annina can be found on the tennis court or tending to her cats at home.
